Newcastle Photography was invited to photograph a group of circus performers who were holding a workshop on juggling and aerial acrobatics.

The day was extremely warm and of course the aerial stuff was done in a circus tent.. 37 degrees outside and we don’t know how hot in the tent.

We didn’t last long in there and adjourned to the adjoining hall where all the jugglers, uni-cycle riders etc were holding their workshops.

An interesting day watching and photographing an eclectic mix of people with differing skill sets.Newcastle PhotographyNewcastle PhotographyNewcastle PhotographyNewcastle Photography

Kylie and Kris celebrated their wedding day at Wandin Valley Estate winery in a grand style.

Kylie attended the Love on the Lawn Wedding Expo last year and entered the major prize draw.

Included in the major prize was our photography package along with hair and makeup by Icon Makeup Emporium.

This was an all day package where the girls stay with the bridal party right up to when they walk into the reception.

It certainly makes my job easier to do with the girls getting their makeup and hair touched up all day so they looked absolutely perfect for the photos.

Kylie had one image in mind that she had forewarned us about. That was to be photographed in her gown sitting in a tree.

This tree was no ordinary tree. It was a huge Gum tree and the branch she wanted to sit on was around 6 metres off the ground.

There were a few heart palpitations from the staff at Newcastle Photography but we got by without a hitch.

A hot weekend saw us heading up the coast a couple of hundred Kilometres to the smallish country town of Wingham to photograph the Rodeo.

They hold a Summer Rodeo there every January so you would expect it to be hot. Well not quite as hot as it was and with very little to no rain it was also very dusty.

Never the less we had a ball and here is a sample of photos from the event.

When I first spoke to Cybele she was in a mess emotionally. It was 2 weeks before her wedding day and her photographer she had booked pulled the pin on her job. After a rather lengthy discussion just trying to calm her down and to look at the big picture I decided to help her out and photograph her wedding for her and Geoff.

It wasn’t a long job but it was one of the most enjoyable I have had the chance to do.

3 Hours we were with the couple on their special day. No preparation shots, just meet at the ceremony place and get some pics.

Cybele had a list of photos she wanted and straight after the ceremony we attempted to capture all of those images.

We then moved on to a quick 45 minute formal shoot. With the wedding ceremony being at 5pm and the reception at 7pm with a 20 minute drive between the venues time was of the essence.

Below are just a few images from the afternoon.

Newcastle Photography spent two days this week (Monday and Tuesday) photographing some of the 1500 athletes aged between 12 and 15 from all over the world.

The children were here for the Lake Macquarie International Childrens Games which were being held in the southern hemisphere for the first time.

The games were held over 4 days with the opening ceremony last Sunday and the closing ceremony on Wednesday evening.

To watch some of these young people perform in their chosen sport was awe inspiring to say the least. On Tuesday evening they were all treated to a beach experience at Blacksmiths Beach.

Some of the children had never seen a beach and too to it like ducks to water.
